The tourist office in Peru, Promperu host tourism professionals IFTM-Top Resa from 23 to 26 September 2014.
Marisol Acosta, recently appointed director of Promperu and Cecilia Salazar, head of the European markets, will receive appointment tourism professionals. Peru is continuing its efforts to position itself as one of the major tourist destinations in South America.
Peru hosted 3,163,639 international visitors (+11.2% vs. 2012) in 2013 with 81904 hoisting the French France to the rank of second European source market behind Spain and ahead of Germany and the United Kingdom. Air France is the only airline that operates a direct link non-stop Paris-Lima. In 2014, it increased its capacity with 4 weekly flights from June 26 to October 31, 2014 (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday). Iberia, Air Europa and Lan operate flights from Lima province and serve daily via Madrid.
